Emil Adamec is world renowned sculptor with international reputation for more
than 70 monumental sculpture realizations in 20 countries and participation in 33
International Sculpture Symposiums around the world. He realize his lifelong a global
sculpture project "Acupuncture of Earth". He travel around the world, realize
sculptures in public space and connect net with his other sculptures from the past. All his
works is related in one system in a global scale. He hope this project help in most recent and
actual situation in Earth.
Sculpture project "Acupuncture of Earth" is lifelong and most important part of work
by sculptor Emil Adamec. Basic idea of project was born in years 1993 - 1994 during his
studies in Prague's Fine Art Academy in Conceptual - Media School. Project was presented in
works "Inner movements in Landscape" and "Lugs Localities in Bohemia
Impact". From year 1997 project was start realized. Sculptures was realized step by step
and install in a different places in world. A main goal of the project is create a global net,
where sculptures have a similar purpose like needles in Chinese acupuncture. Each sculpture
should have their own placement with relation to a "opposite sculpture" placed right
on the opposite side of Earth. Whole project have local continental parts like 28 Moon Mirrors
in China, 12 Bridges in Topic of Cancer or 10 Guardians in
Australia.
Born in 11th November 1972 in Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic. live and work in
Czech Republic, Greece and Hong Kong
