Flanders (Belgium) based Marika Bäumler, figurative painter and ceramic sculptor,
uses painting and ceramic sculptures (terracotta and raku) with a soul in a poetic
irrealistic style, expressing a feeling of inner silence and transformation.
Bäumler Marika (b. 1945) Flemish (Dutch speaking part of Belgium) painter and ceramic
sculptor. Studied painting (1960- 1965) at the Royal Academies of Fine Arts in Antwerp and

From 1999 on she turned to clay to express her inborn talent for the transcendental aspect
