Pratikriya' or 'response' is an attempt to explore the possibilities to translate
human emotions in the present ecosystem to visual imagery . Overall 'pratikriya'
embarks on the journey of excavating the subjectivity of various personal,
social, political and economic issues and making an artistic intervention for the
audience to appreciate and enjoy.
Greatly influenced by the expressionist art movement, these works are an attempt
to provide a conduit to express various moods of life . Though the works largely
symbolizes a buried human emotion like desire, depravity, sorrow, love, lust etc, they
are essentially an attempt to bring them out on the surface in a much more
comprehensive form. Being cathartic and an argument in itself, it is sure to
stimulate discussion. The compositions that might look simple and geometric
symbolizes an inexplicable feeling articulated through innovative shapes and
bold colors which evokes a mood desired by the painter.
A journey to the abyss of life and its many components, 'Pratikriya' is sure to catch
the
audience's imagination .
