In the year 2003, another stone pecker was born into the Nigerian Art community.
Born on the 28th of July 1975 as the second child from the family of seven hails from a rocky
village which has one of the most beautiful and natural gift called Ososo in Akoko Edo Local
Government Area Edo State, Nigeria.
He graduated as a sculptor from Auchi Polytechnic Auchi, Edo State, Nigeria in the year 2002.
Moses Afeso Monday developed his interest on stone carving while watching a sculptor at work
on a stone project in the year 1997; today he is an explosive embodiment of creative genius
bottled up inside his personality.
As a young and promising artist whose mastery of his tasking media amply demonstrates his
talent and Creativity that is fully identified with, his inspirations he say is gotten through
dreams and life experiences and he relates them to society through his works.
Afeso as he is fondly called by his colleagues, combines metal and other materials with stone
to give an expression of solidity and flexibility which makes his works quit unique.
He has exhibited extensively and turns marble, soapstone, metal and other materials into an
awe inspiring wonders of beauty.
