SHOBOWALE, Johnson Babatunde,who was born on October 15th 1970; is a natural artist with
humanitarian traits. For the first time ever, he was opportune to feature at the 10th
Harmattan Workshop, annually organized by Dr.Bruce Onobrakpeya. The learnt skills and
what he took part in at the workshop surpassed his expectation.
This has endeared him to the international standardized workshop put together by the sage of
our time.
This zealous and determined soldier with a penchant quest for artistic research was schooled
at Federal Technical College, Yaba; and he paints love,peace and harmony.
He also specialized in abstract paintings and is inspired to churn out works of art through
the Holy Spirit that minister to him in his dreams, and sometimes when he is alone at
home whenever his amiable wife goes out to pursue her line of business activities.
Since my preferred medium is abstract, l must state at this at this junction that 'the lines'
proportion is my chosen style. The 'symbol cum tribal marks' found in my works can be traced
to the Yoruba, Hausa and Benin lineage of Nigerian descent, is what l combined to form pattern
of style.
He has featured in numerous exhibitions both at home and abroad and has his works adorns the
corporate landscape of Nigeria and the West African States.He also enjoys the privilege of
having his works in private, state-of-art collections globally.
