Evelyn M. Breit is an award winning, classically trained artist whose work is frequently
chosen for international, national, and regional juried exhibitions. Her original
paintings and drawings hang in private collections across the country.
With the live model as her subject, Evelyn integrates traditional figure drawing techniques
with vibrant colors, expressive lines, and bold shapes. She looks beneath the
surface to the underlying structure, endowing her figures with sculptural
three-dimensionality.
Evelyn also paints landscapes, still-lifes, and commissioned portraits. In all her
subjects she uses color and value selectively, demonstrating her keen understanding of form,
light and shadow.
