Brian Perrymond is an Artist and Illustrator. Although versatile in talent, his
professional interest is historical sport images and musicians, as well as, capturing on
canvas people place, or thing commissioned by a client. In addition, animals, large and
small, have become an interest of his work. He is capable of accentuating the cuddliness of
the kitten alongside the strength of the race horse.
Born and raised in Lumpkin, Georgia, Brian recalled it was experiences in first grade which
revealed his interest and skill in drawing. From that moment on he never lost that interest
rather it grew and was developed even more by his high school art teacher. After noting
Brian's skill, passion, and potential, his high school art teacher assisted in Brian being the
recipient of an art scholarship to Chattahoochee Valley Community College (CVCC) in Phenix
City, Alabama.
Brian obtained an Associate Degree in Art in 1996 from CVCC. He then travelled to Orlando,
Florida attended the University of Central Florida (UCF) and received a Bachelor's Degree in
Art and Illustration in 2000. Following this achievement he was chosen for a two year
apprenticeship with Master Portrait Painter Hoeun Chung in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently Brian
is working full time doing the work from which he derives great satisfaction.
He has completed work for the Orlando Sentinel, Kennedy Space Center, The Atlanta Sports Hall
of Fame, Distant Replays, The Woodruff Library at Atlanta University Center in conjunction
with the Negro League Baseball Hall of Fame, Brian Jordan Foundation, and many other
businesses and families. This provides the opportunity for his work to be found in collections
throughout the United States.
