American artist Mary Ellen Rosenbluth (1931-88) has left a legacy of remarkable creativity.
Surrounded by art from an early age -- her mother and physician father were both talented
artists -- she would go on to carve her own path under the tutelage of Julian Levi, Leo Manso,
and other instructors at the Art Students League in New York City. She was also influenced by
the mid-20th century artistic scene in Provincetown, MA, where she spent many summers. Mary
Ellen's works encompass an array of media, including oils, watercolors, charcoal, sculpture -
and her style spans the worlds of post-impressionism through early modernism.
