Ryan J. Vojir [pron. 'Voy-er' (Czech) (b. 1975)] was born in Cleveland, OH and currently
resides in Dallas, TX.
He is embarking on a lifetime goal to become the first painter to ever paint at least one
scene of every major U.S. and World city.
Artistically inclined from childhood, he received a B.S. in Industrial Design from Ohio State
in 1997, served in the Marine Corps, and then received a Masters in Design from Georgia Tech
in 2004. In 2002 a real appreciation of impressionist paintings was awoken. He has since
become an ardent student of works by Edouard Cortes, Monet, Manet, Degas, Henri
Toulouse-Lautrec, Gustave Caillebotte, Childe Hassam, and George Bellows.
Mr. Vojir is now working to build a style and collection of the modern urban landscape all his
own and has 'allegedly' trespassed, climbed on roofs, and played chicken with cars and trains
as a means to capture views of cities IN OUR TIMES. Moments that will display for generations
to come what things looked like in the 21st century.
