Axial Movement
In axial movement the influence of the vertical axis is loosened but retained. Volumes are tilted
laterally without rotating them around their axes. The volumes of a sculptured figure can be rotated
around the vertical axis and the figure can be turned from the feet upwards through the knees, hips,
thorax, shoulders and head in a continuous screwlike movement.
