Eclectic
In art, eclectic refers to a person or style that borrows freely and obviously from other contemporary
and influential sources. It implies that the person or the style is not exclusive or selective in
opinion or taste.
Eclecticism is a conceptual approach that does not hold rigidly to a single paradigm or set of
assumptions, but instead draws upon multiple theories, styles, or ideas to gain complementary insights
into a subject, or applies different theories in particular cases.
