Modelling
3-D Modelling in art is a process by which the forms of a sculpture are built up piece by piece out of
a plastic material like clay, wax or plaster. It is opposite to glyptic or carving.
2-D Modelling is the device used for the rendition of solid form and receding planes in a
two-dimensional representation. It relies on the use of gradiation and the subtle transition from
light to dark in the painting of the object.
