Three-dimensional
Three-dimensional refers to something having depth, or composed of elements arrange at
various distances from the spectator, or giving the illusion of depth or varying distances. The third
dimension may be reduced or condensed, as in relief sculpture.
Because the three-dimensional arts cater especially for our capacity to perceive and respond to the
real dimension of form, they differ radically and fundamentally from the two-dimensional arts.
