The Omenka Gallery houses a collection of superb sculptures, drawings and paintings of
world renowned artist, Ben Enwonwu MBE (1917-1994). Also on showcase are certificates, medals of
honour and a rare collection of black-and-white photographs documenting his life and times. These
are complemented by displays of palette knives, brushes, cut paint tubes and aprons and some
personal spent belongings.
The Omenka Gallery has a year-round educational programme which explores Enwonwu's art and practice,
the cultural and social context of his works and links to contemporary themes.
The Gallery also hosts several exhibitions of the works of established, as well as, emerging talent.
