Christopher Møller is the grandson of the late watercolourist John Churchill Simpson. He
has been involved in the art world for over 10 years, having worked for The Everard Read Gallery and
Stephan Welz & Sotheby's, before going on to become an independent art consultant. He opened
his first gallery in Cape Town in 2007, on the corner of Church and Loop Street, in Cape Town central.
His gallery deals mostly in contemporary art but does specialize in select South African masters.
In late 2010, looking for larger premises, Christopher purchased a large Victorian building in Gardens,
set against the backdrop of Table Mountain. The gallery (close to the Mount Nelson Hotel), is
located in one of the more prestigious areas in Cape Town and offers its clients ample parking and is
conveniently located to all of Cape Towns major attractions. Also in the same year, Christopher was also
elected a member of SAADA (South African Dealers Association) and takes part in the annual fairs in both
Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Christopher's objective with the gallery is to offer his clients high quality art. His aim is to
build up these artists, creating established brand names in the South African and overseas markets.
"Becoming a brand name is an important part of life. It's the world we live in"
