Historical Artist - Lubin Baugin (1612 - 1663)
Lubin Baugin worked in Paris as a painter of religious works. He was nicknamed ‘Le Petit
Guide’ (Little Guido) because Guido Reni heavily influenced his work. He has also been
credited with a group of still-lifes. However, the lack of resemblance between those paintings
and his religious pieces lead scholars to believe someone else painted them.
