Relief Graphics
Relief graphics are graphics in which the image to be reproduced is left high enough above the block so that the ink applied will lie only on the relief portion. Relief graphics may be subdivided into those in which the nonprinted areas are cut away, leaving the high printing area and those in which the high, printing areas are built up or collaged onto a flat surface.
